Come on this intimate 8-night voyage through French Polynesia’s leeward islands and share an experience outside the usual tourist clichés, more like a private yacht holiday with friends. Excellent food, great company and luxury accommodation. Dine under the stars, paddle board or kayak the lagoons, swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters, wander exquisite beaches or relax on deck with a cocktail.
Boarding starts from 4:00pm on the central Papeete waterfront. After the Captain’s welcome, crew introductions, safety briefing and once all guests are onboard we depart during dinner for the short crossing to Moorea.
Wake this morning inside the beautiful Cooks Bay. After breakfast the crew host a snorkel safari where you may spot a ray or black tipped reef shark. This afternoon we tender ashore for a guided scenic tour to the hills and rainforest of Moorea. Drinks and canapés are served on deck followed by dinner. Later we sail for Taha’a.
Wake this morning at Taha’a with dramatic sea views. A refreshing swim before breakfast then we tender ashore for a visit to a local organic vanilla plantation. Lunch is served on board while cruising the northern shores through the many motu’s surrounding the main island. A crew hosted coral garden snorkelling expedition where the current drifts you past coral formations and the abundant sea life. This is South Seas paradise with islands in the foreground and where the sun sets over the distant towering peaks of beautiful Bora Bora. We visit a local boutique pearl farm where you can learn about the Tahitian pearl culture and even have an opportunity to actually dive for your own pearl.
After breakfast we sail across to Bora Bora. We anchor inside Bora Bora lagoon with Mount Otemanu dominating the landscape. Start the day with for a swim off the ship, then a leisurely lunch before we are collected for a shark and ray excursion. Alternatively you can tender ashore for a walk or simply relax on board. The next two days we explore the eastern side of the island, surprise you on a sandbar, and eat, swim, drink and relax in this paradise. Lunch and water sports activities off Toopu Island are planned for an afternoon. On the last night in Bora Bora, before dinner you are invited for an aperitif with the Captain, ashore at the world-famous Bloody Mary’s bar. We will overnight at anchor and sail in the morning for Raiatea.
Walk off breakfast in the township before we are collected for a guided island history, Marae and Faaroa river canoe tour. Learn the history of Raiatea as we wind up the Faaroa river, Tahiti’s only ‘navigable river’ before we rendezvous with the ship in the eastern lagoon for lunch. Later, while dinner is served on the aft deck, we cruise across to the garden Island of Huahine.
Be woken by the smell of frangipanis and the tropical sounds of this lush oasis. Tenders are going ashore to sable blanc beach for swimming activity and beach combing. Lunch is served on board with more beach time and a snorkelling trip before we relocate to Haapu beach where we are entertained this evening by a local cultural group with Tahitian singing and dancing. Once the show and dinner is completed and everyone is settled, we overnight cruise to Moorea.
Awake this morning inside the gorgeous lagoon, this time within Opunohu Bay. After breakfast the crew host a trip ashore where we can ride rental bicycles to explore further within the bay and surroundings. Cocktails at sunset and a farewell dinner on board with the crew before we slowly cruise back across the channel to dock in Papeete very late in the evening.
A light continental breakfast is served for those early risers having to disembark at 7am for early flights to NZ. Guests who are staying on in Papeete can enjoy a relaxed breakfast on deck before disembarking at 10am.
